Seven Moons by R Time
A seven-dome dining and entertainment venue in Riyadh, developed on an empty site in three and a half weeks and developed for Ramadan dining, World Cup screenings, and events.
From desert land to a destination
I was a partner in R Time, working in business development. I helped establish the company by connecting an investor with a creative director, then brought partners and suppliers together to deliver projects such as Seven Moons.
We transformed an empty site into a venue with seven domes, outdoor dining, and entertainment in three and a half weeks. The overall investment in developing the venue and running its events was US$7 million. I sourced the domes from the Netherlands and arranged the supplier agreements.
Dining, entertainment, and immersive experiences
The domes brought together restaurant offerings and entertainment, including a cinema, a children’s playground, and other activity spaces.
For Ramadan, the restaurant domes offered different cuisines and buffet experiences for breaking the fast. The 30-meter dome included a VIP lounge with immersive 360° 3D projection mapping, alongside coffee and desserts. Le Gourmet Burger also operated a pop-up counter at the venue.
A venue that changed with the event
After Ramadan, we adapted the venue for World Cup screenings, with large screens and projectors inside the domes. Outside, food trucks, restaurants, seating areas, and games created places to eat, gather, and spend time between matches.
The site later hosted the Saudi Women’s Driving Celebration, Saudi National Day, and other events. Working with different groups and operators, we adapted the food, entertainment, and spaces around each program.
